  4. Tax relief and financial aid for employers supporting apprenticeship programmes

    Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad announced tax reductions and HRD Corp’s Industrial Training Scheme (ITS) to ease financial burdens for employers paying minimum wages to contract apprentices. As of November 2024, RM20.4 million supported 10,766 training placements. The National Wages Consultative Council’s study led to expanding minimum wage coverage for apprentices, aligning with Employment Act definitions.

  5. Fomema Offers 30-day Extension For Affected Employers, Service Providers

    Fomema Sdn Bhd (Fomema) is providing relief assistance to support employers of foreign workers and service providers impacted by the floods through its Fomema Flood Relief Programme (FRP). Fomema is providing additional 30-day extension for medical forms and online result transmission for registrations and forms dated between 15 November 2024 and 14 January 2025 in flood-affected areas across Malaysia.
