1. Perlis declares Jan 1 a public holiday

Perlis has declared January 1, 2025, a public holiday to mark both the New Year and the Islamic date of Rejab 1, 1446H. Mentri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli announced that the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, approved the holiday to appreciate civil servants and residents for their support of the New Year carnival.
