2. Juru residents urge govt, developer to halt plans for new workers’ dormitory

Juru residents object to a proposed 32-storey workers’ dormitory by Hunza-Land Corporation, housing 20,000 workers. Concerns include safety, traffic, pollution, and quality of life. Doubts were raised over survey accuracy supporting the project. With another dormitory planned, foreign workers could outnumber locals.
