FMM president urges manufacturers to update workers on Socso’s new medical initiative

Malaysia’s Social Security Organisation (Socso) now covers medical costs directly at 1,400 panel clinics, removing upfront payments for workers with job-related injuries. Previously, workers paid RM150–RM200 per visit and claimed reimbursements. The Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) supports this move, citing reduced financial strain, faster treatment, and improved workplace health and productivity.
