Economist Prof. Dr. Barjoyai Badai calls for adjustments to Malaysia’s minimum wage policy, suggesting a 65% wage increase over 10 years to balance worker needs and business costs. Prof. Dr. Barjoyai pointed out that the minimum wage policy could burden small businesses in the short term due to cost pressures. A suggestion was made that a Universal Pay Policy for high-cost areas, tax incentives for small businesses, and exempting inexperienced workers from minimum wage requirements to support sustainability and career development.
